Projects covered include a service core in Terneuzen, Netherlands hub site, integration of Rohm and Haas into Dow’s infrastructure and SSL VPN solution for Terneuzen, Singapore, Altona and Shanghai.

IT Architect

Member of a focus team to make Dow’s infrastructure globally security compliant. Lead efforts specifically for Digital equipment. Lead engineer for EMEA legacy decommission efforts, migrating all infrastructural components to the recently installed DowNET. Requirements gathering and designing LAN and WAN infrastructure for a Dow acquisition of a +1500-user company in Germany. Initially a ‘Day 1’ connectivity was successfully implemented in close cooperation with the current service provider (Atos), followed by final setup according the latest Architectural Standards. As lead-engineer responsible for the assessment, design and implementation of converged infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VoIP and video) for a cluster of German Dow sites (> 1800 seats). Participate as design-engineer for RFP response for Rijkswaterstaat, Delta Lloyd and UK National Health Services (> 11000 locations). Design and implement complex IT infrastructures such as warehouse infrastructure in India, integrating of an external company in South Africa consisting of 19 locations into Dow based on Dow’s infrastructure standards. Act as WAN focal point for EMEA region. Volunteered for an assignment in Sydney Australia to set up a regional Resolution and Operations Center.
