At CitiGrow I spent the summer tending to a 3000 square foot garden that produced a number of vegetables that were sold to local restaurants by the company and delivered by myself in an innovative approach to harnessing the local food movement. While working here I learned the importance of time management, effective scheduling, and communication skills in all of the tasks from starting seeds to the delivery of the harvested vegetables. Working summers at the local swimming pool I not only learned the communication skills needed to interact with everyone from a toddler to a senior, but also much of the technical needs in running a pool as these tasks were shared amongst all in the small town setting.
