  Responsible for the delivery and 24/7 support of The Outnet serving over 3 million customers and transacting several million Euro in daily revenue. Led a team of ~40 cross-functional people across 3 squads, with Principal Engineers and Senior Delivery Managers as my direct reports. Key point of contact for The Outnet business into wider technology, ensuring The Outnet’s interests are represented across centralised teams with shared priorities. Re-organised The Outnet front end technology area into a full-stack, cross-functional structure providing greater ownership, reduced dependencies and ability to deliver more effectively for the business. Initiated a change to a cost/value oriented approach with the Delivery Managers and Product Owners to evaluate ROI of new requests and budgets for tech driven initiatives/experiments. Pushed forward adoption of Kubernetes, supporting a core team and ensuring buy-in from senior stakeholders and e-commerce operations/SRE teams. Completed a front-end migration project that had spanned several years, delivering significant infrastructure cost savings, and improved customer experience. Adjusted the roadmap commitment and creation process with the product/e-commerce team to provide more flexibility for innovation and adaptation vs. unrealistic granular delivery dates on a 3 year timescale.Highlights- Completion of a multi year front end and back end migration for The Outnet at YNAP, supporting post-- migration record sales numbers.- Delivery of multi-language localisation in Japan, Middle East and Germany.- Delivery of a new iOS React Native application and a cross-functional team structure to flexibly support development.
