Head of Regional Fundraising - Scotland & Northern Ireland
-
Sep 2009 - Sep 2016
I managed a team of 20 fundraisers responsible for raising £11m+ annually from major donors, individual donors, regional fundraising, corporate fundraising, events, challenge events, appeal fundraising, committees, volunteers, groups and associations activities ranging from online and off line cash appeals, high value donor events, sponsored challenges, direct marketing campaigns, trust and foundations and legacy marketing.I successfully broadened the fundraising mix increasing the overall return from each income stream. I introduced a Regional Fundraising Strategy involving the team to help raise profile and unrestricted income. The four key principles which drove our work;Ask More - by acquiring new supporters and multiple donations from existing onesMake it easy and rewarding to support - by creating supporter journeys which offer a great customer experience and cover all our productsWork as one team around the supporter - by working collaboratively with colleagues across Macmillan so our brand works harder for both fundraising and servicesUse data and performance to drive performance - by honing skills and utilising knowledgeI improved the online and offline donor communications. I successfully introduced face-to-face donor acquisition to help raise profile and unrestricted income for the longer term. I developed management tools to boost the project pipeline, monitor programme funding and strengthen restricted income. This helped improve our cost income ratio.. I worked closely with team to deliver our mission statement - We are a sector leading, national, fundraising sales force who uses the impact of brilliant face to face relationships to maximise income and provide an amazing supporter experienceI have made a major impact and have delivered significant growth. I have a positive attitude, I am creative, tenacious and driven. I thrive on new challenges. Show less
