I taught one BA-level class and four MA-level classes for English majors. The groups were relatively small (under 20, some only 4) and the students were hard-working. There were many international (non-German) students, so discussions were often lively. I taught one BA-level class and four MA-level classes for English majors. I will be teaching at Kazan Federal University, in Kazan, Russia, which is about 600 miles east of Moscow, on the Volga River. I'll be working with upper-level English majors and faculty on academic writing and research. I'll also give workshops and presentations at other academic institutions in the area. I'll visit some other cities in Russia, and the Mid-Year Conference this year will be in Antaliya, Turkey. With many years' experience in teaching ESL/EFL, I can say that I am a creative and empathetic teacher in the classroom. I've worked with students from around the world and on all levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). My strongest area is probably college-bound and academically-oriented students. I am comfortable with both Academic Writing and Oral Skills classes. I hope to find a position where I can train and mentor other teachers. Treated clients and managed my own small business offering bodywork therapy. More than just massage, I helped clients understand musculo-skeletal anatomy, breathwork, and relaxation techniques they could take with them. I also recommended stretches and the use of ice and heat. Treated clients and managed my own small business offering bodywork therapy.
