I had the privilege to work with Paul for more than 6 years at Hudson Technologies. In that time we worked very closely together on many projects. Those projects spanned from implementing lean manufacturing initiatives, to implementing Six Sigma within our operations group, to installing robotics in multiple manufacturing areas, to qualifying new technologies as well as upgrading & modernizing manufacturing techniques. In addition to the special projects, Paul and I worked hand in hand on the day to day business of the operations at Hudson. We worked together to install standards and then systems to monitor them for improvement. We also worked together to set strategies to meet business objectives for the operations and engineering groups. In every instance that I worked with Paul, he was professional and always tried to get the organization closer to a better result rather than being selfish for his own department. I watched numerous times when others were out for their own benefit and Paul would patiently work the situation back around to be better for everyone and not just one department. During these years not only was Paul proven to be a good business leader but also a good engineering mind. He always insisted on using data to understand situations and to then make decisions going forward. His logic and decision making processes are very strong. I was also impressed with his experience and skill at understanding different processes and identifying potential options for improvements or alternate technologies. In the end, the ultimate question I ask myself, would I hire someone if I owned a business? The answer for Paul is a resounding yes!
