For 10 years I was responsible for the day to day management of the firm, business development, staff, compliance and other operational matters. This year I've passed on that responsibility, and I can now find time to do some law. I specialise in Employment Law and Trade Unions. I was a Trustee of the CAB for 6 years. I was Chair of the Board for 5 of those years. This was a voluntary position. The CABx have faced - and continue to face - extraordinarily challenging times given government funding cuts. They remain a vital last line of defence for the most vulnerable in our society. I enjoyed working with my fellow Trustees and the CEO to help guide the organisation through some of those challenges, and to ensure it continues to provide help to people who need it most. Show less
