The company I work for, Unitronix Pty Ltd, is an Australian owned company, with over 30 years in business, based in the Hunter region, an hour North of Sydney. Our business is the supply and through life support of ruggedised computing hardware solutions for customers in the Mining, Medical, Military & Defence areas. These products are Commercial Off The Shelf ( COTS ) products, ready to be integrated into our Customers applications. Unitronix teams with customers to correctly specify and define all aspects relating to their hardware systems requirements, to offer the best equipment and support for the job. We also have three internally funded R & D activities in house: 1. To develop rugged vehicle computing solutions for Mining, Law enforcement and Emergency services, 2. To develop a Fuel Cell solution to create onboard power to run computer applications for vehicles, and 3. State of the Art - Electronic Warfare systems and Radar applications for the Military. My specific responsibilities include the day to day organisation, and efficient running of the office of this small Company. These include overseeing product movements and associated logistics, as well as the maintenance of a warehouse environment to a high level of Safety and ESD compliance. I arrange and oversee the management and training of staff as per ISO 9001:2008 criteria, as well as ensuring that all our processes are being continually monitored, reported on and improved upon, within this ISO 9001:2008 framework. I ensure the timely and accurate implementation of our new CRM data base system - DayLite, and all development and associated staff training for this system. Further responsibilities are to ensure that all R&D activities are correctly maintained and reported on, as well as liaising with various Government Departments on these activities. My aim is to maintain a happy and professional workplace, where all staff have the ability to excel, and receive acknowledgement of achievement.
