      • I held this position for 3 years, however I worked for the company for 11+ years. The majority of which were in a CAD draughtsman/technical advisory role. • The main focus when I started was to produce full and complete CAD drawings of a staircase layout, including all obstacles i.e. doors, bulkheads, radiators, electrical wires, heating pipes, handrail, balustrading etc. I would then produce the BOM (Bill of Materials) in Microsoft Navision for the lift configuration, followed by the buying of these lifts into our stock. • I would also produce feasibility drawings in the event a Sales Manager is unsure a lift could be installed into a property, I would check the layout via pictures, sketches and dimensions and provide the best access solution for the property. • Other drawings I would produce are for vertical lifts, step lifts and incline platform lifts showing both the current and proposed layouts. • Over the years my role has since expanded and now includes planning and organising the installations of lifts, as well as organising any sub-contractual work that is required in the properties for the lift to be installed, whether it is electrical, plumbing, joinery or building work. • As I have been at the company for a long period of time, I have also been asked to do many other tasks which would not normally be associated with my position. I.e. Pricing up specifications for contract tenders and implementing these costs within our systems, the writing of processes within the office and also performing cover for the Customer Care Manager. • I have worked with numerous software programs including AutoCAD (since R14), Microsoft Navision, of which I am a key user, Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point to name a few. • Retail Salesperson / Manager in training (MIT)

Although i finished my retail employment at Tesco, I actually started working part time at Safeway whilst at College and University. Once Safeway was acquired by Morrisons I worked for them for a short while until Tesco bought the site at which I was employed, I then moved to Tesco under TUPE. During my time at Tesco I progressed to full time and went onto develop my skills further by applying and being accepted onto the MIT (Manager in training) course. While I was working my way through the course a job opportunity came up in CAD, which is what I studied at University and I felt I could not turn it down. Show less
