I don’t want this endorsement of Paul’s to sound too sycophantic but it’s going to be hard not to be superlative in my praise of Paul’s management style. In short, Paul makes management look effortless and easy. Paul recruited a team to fulfill his brief and from that he worked hard to build a cohesive and loyal team from scratch, entirely remotely during lockdown and boy did he succeed! Paul is clear on expectations, celebrates individual success and uses people’s strengths to improve service delivery. Paul has strong boundaries if we strayed. His communication style is clear and honest. He knew how to get the best out of every quirky character on the team and as a result, we delivered results, while being ferociously loyal to Paul. Almost all of us stayed longer in our jobs than we had originally intended because it was so refreshing to be so well-managed. If you are looking for a target-driven manager who has a clear communication style, is focused on delivering results and is capable of building a loyal hard-working team, then Paul is your man.
