Provide leadership and direction to my HR team, Operations, and other functional leaders across Canada. My business partners are at the VP and Director level. I lead a team of direct reports, and the scope of my role is National across 6 provinces (incl Quebec), with 35 units/offices, 4 large scale distribution centers, and over 800 employees. Support the organizational strategy by aligning people with business decisions, working in both a union and non-union environment. Demonstrated ability to partner both internally and externally to drive programs as they relate to human capital. Solid knowledge of all functional areas within HR, including: performance management, succession planning, compensation, rewards and recognition, employee relations, compliance, and talent acquisition. Role is held accountable to an HR scorecard & results.Accomplishments:- Successfully implemented the re-organization of our Canadian Supply Chain department. The reorganization involved the creation of new roles through job evaluations as well as the creation of new incentive plans.- Lead the “workshare” program in Western Canada, allowing our organization to save labour costs and avoid layoffs during challenging economic conditions. Program involved identifying creative solutions and efficiencies for labour savings. - Revised and launched our Canadian vacation policy, aligning it with the total compensation values of our organization. The evaluation of the process led to a discovery of unnecessary top-up payments which in turn saved the organization 1.4M. - Launched MULA & VULA programs (mandatory & voluntary unpaid leave) which resulted in costs savings for the organization, ultimately helping us save labour costs and increase employee morale. - Designed and executed the launch of “Sales Performance Improvement Process” nationally.
