  Incorporated in 1978, Select was corporate "owner" of a string of new magazines that I launched: Homes and Land/ West (real estate ads) Renter's Digest (sold to a division of KKR in 1994) Designers Illustrated, (sold to it's associate publisher in 1993) Silicon Valley Engineer Magazine (discontinued after 3 years). Select is the corporate base for Los Altos Town Crier which was purchased in March, 1993.
