As a Senior Project Manager, I oversee the implementation of EITaaS’ ($5B, 10 year program) key objectives that when fully transitioned will benefit the Department of the Air Force (DAF) by being more operationally responsive and allow for the repurpose Airmen and Guardians to focus on Comms and Cyber missions. The EITaaS program brings the eight stakeholder families into concordance so that the vendor can implement the program’s capability waves throughout the enterprise. It will increase IT availability by stabilizing the O&M lifecycle, reduce risk of failure, centralize IT funding and service delivery, and increase standardization of capabilities. I am responsible for overseeing the following EITaaS goals: • Strengthen Cybersecurity by defending cyberspace through a secure, end-to-end, and interoperable network, consolidate redundant IT capabilities to reduce digital attack surface, deliver a resilient and effective architecture, improve resiliency over commercial lines, increase Wi-Fi access, and enable transition to Zero Trust environment. • Support the SECAF’s Operational Imperative by establishing more resilient comm that accelerate the warfighter’s mission and buys down tech debt. • Become more operationally responsive by deploying and securing modernized end user devices, mobile technology, and resilient networks with improved performance and connectivity. • Enable flexible workforce by accelerating transition to improve cyber posture, increase the ability to contract local services on a BPA to reduce costs, and increase automation to reduce manhours required to operated EIT services. • Increase CloudONE integration by migrating data & services to the cloud, improve data center consolidation, and improve disconnected state ops architecture to enable resiliency. • Update ITSM platform to efficiently consolidate databases, ticket traffic, develop a 24/7 enterprise help desk, and improve access to add/change services thru the SAF/CIO 21st Century Storefront.
