Silicon Practice are the vendors of Footfall; a digital health practice and online consultation platform, serving over 1,500 GP practices throughout the UK. Footfall evolved from a simple WordPress site to a feature rich application, that offers patient’s access to GP services and video consultation. As the product evolved, I have successfully migrated from vanilla PHP/JS to adopt our now chosen frameworks (Laravel, Vue.Js). Working on APIs to transfer data to the back-end clinical systems required the ability to interoperate complex health data formats (FHiR). More recently, an NHS drive to improve accessibility and usability led to a return of front end development. I am reverse engineering the NHS frontend toolset to enable full-size editing (React) of our GP websites. This will both reduce the demand of our internal support team and empower our customers to become self-sufficient. Show less

Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS) provide specialist software to manufacturers and distributors. Web Builder is their proprietary ecommerce solution and is fully integrated with K8, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. As a Web Consultant, I am responsible for the implementation, configuration and customer training required for Web Builder ecommerce projects. A typical customer may sell between 100K and 200k unique product lines, so an understanding SEO, faceted navigation and product categorisation is essential. Only three months into my career at KCS, I was asked at very short notice to travel to the USA to train two new customers and present at the company’s US annual conference. An increase in sales can be directly attributed to the success of the conference. Show less

Swindon Borough Council employs over 2,000 staff and provides hundreds of services to the diverse mix of residents and businesses of Swindon. The vast majority of these services are either accessed through the council’s corporate website or one of the 20 satellite sites. The council recently launched a new website on a new CMS platform (JADU). Swindon.gov.uk contains over 3,000 pages of content, over 5,000 documents and a myriad of 3rd party systems. I have been an integral part of the Council’s corporate web team for the past 8 years and have led the direction of the team for the past 4 years. Show less
