I was fortunate enough to have directly reported to Paul during my time at Halliburton, his soft skills and management qualities are an asset to his team. As a manager he was always keen to improve and progress his team and ensure that he had time set aside for each team member to address their concerns when it was required. During my time working with Paul, I found that he was very approachable and easy to communicate with. Very organised and meticulous person.

Paul joined Halliburton over a year ago now. He proved himself to be a consumate professional in every aspect of his role as a project engineer, earning him recognition within his peer group and clients alike. Paul has recently moved to a business development role where he is showing his characteristic enthusiasum and drive. This will undoubtedly lead him to the same high level of success as he achieved in his previous role.

Responsible for engineering the methodology of installation and pre-commissioning testing of umbilicals within the Pipeline and Process Services Department. Role & Responsibilities To design a work method/procedure for commissioning thermoplastic and steel tube umbilicals offshore. Throughout this process the methodology for this work required strict adherence to H&SE legislation, writing risk assessments, job safety analysis, risk analysis with regards to PUWER, LOLER, WAHR and Pressure Testing. In addition, the work methods were written in conjunction to comply with ISO Quality standard and ISO14001 environmental policy. When offshore, it was my duty to lead the team of field personnel and conduct safety briefings, pre and post job briefs and analyse the findings of any incident by means of Root Cause analysis. Ensure that the team were looking to continuously improve the work processes/methods and recommend changes to management and implement the change. Show less

Umbilical testing covered qualification of umbilical design from flex fatigue, bend stiffness, tensile and crush testing. Hose manufacture started at the extrusion process of core tube (Nylon 11), braiding with Kevlar (dependant on hose design, which Kevlar type used) protective nylon jacket and attaching hose couplings.Electric cables covered the insulation of the bare copper conductor, hyperbarically testing these conductors to 35 Bar, twisting the pair/triad or quad, belting the cable, screening the cable and then applying a final protective jacket.
