Initially engaging as lead engineer for the quality and completions team on the port Clarence biomass project. Verifying all electrical drawings prior to being issued to the contractor, systemization of the LOSH drawings, audits on contractor procedures, work packs and documentation. Reviewing contractor RAMS and working practices prior to being issued for acceptance. Overseeing the testing and inspection from the contractor. Reviewing all the ITR’s and red line/as-built drawings prior to tri-party walkdowns. This project was mothballed by the main EPC in May 2019, since then I have been located in the Billingham office overseeing all aspects of quality and project management from estimations/bidding, project close out, final accounts and business development with potential new clients. Preparing the company IMS system in alignment with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 and achieving accreditation from Lloyd’s register. Managing a suite of projects for the company, the main project to date is the Woodsmith mine project for Anglo American in Whitby. Taking this project from the bid stage through to final close out on each package and still have a team present assisting the client with commissioning. Using excellent communication skills, an effective listener, understanding other people’s points of view. Working flexibly to accommodate the changing needs of the business, working long hours and taking on additional responsibilities.

E&I Commissioning & Completions Manager

Working on behalf of the contractor on various types of modules for the TCO FGP project destined for Tengiz field in Kazakhstan. Delivering nine modules mechanically complete and fully commissioned. Managing the commissioning department in charge of a team of inspectors and commissioning technicians completing all QA/QC inspection activities, driving construction for MC completion, completing ATEX AITR’s and commissioning BITR’s. Writing and reviewing commissioning procedures, method statements and risk assessments, developing the completions system and developing the PTW system. Leading and organising all DAC & MC walk downs with the client and execution of punch items related to system hand over/energisation. Raising and issuing all LUN’s, raising, and answering CR’s, DR’s and RFI’s with regards to specification deviations etc. Organising vendor call outs for dynamic commissioning of main switchboard, UPS and HVAC systems. Delivering all documentation prior to sail away including ITP’s, MRB’s and hazardous area registers for each module. Using excellent communication skills at all levels while remaining dedicated to ensuring understanding of company requirements and procedures. Complying with all relevant procedures and deliver high standards of safety performance during all operations. Providing technical support for E&I department and liaising with the engineering team onshore for fabrication support. E&I Verification Engineer

Managing a team of multi discipline technicians verifying the offshore inspection & pre-commissioning activities prior to HC1. Signing off DAC’s, MC1’s & PCC’s and any as-built drawings for final hand over dossiers.Inspecting and verifying vendor packages prior to vendors mobilizing for dynamic commissioning stages. Managing work scope priorities in line with the project schedule and punch list execution as the project approached start up stage. Responsible for punch list categorisation and work party allocation within the completions system to drive the project into readiness for first gas.

Overseeing and controlling a team of work pack engineers for the production control department. Developing construction and MC work packs for the sub-contractor. Raising any TQ’s against engineering data and answering any TQ’s from the sub-contractor. Reporting progress to the client via filtered reports from GOC/GO HUB system. Reviewing the content of the MC database within GOC correcting any alterations or modifications required per sub system. Scoping the man hours for construction activities, reviewing AFC drawings & schedules raising TQ’s to the client. Managing the construction work pack engineers, developing construction/inspection progress reporting tools. Involved with periodic VOR’s, liaising with the design team in Aberdeen for engineering changes throughout the project.

Offshore Construction Manager

Engaging on a rig reactivation program for upgrades to the new Rigsense 3.0 NOV DAQ drilling instrumentation system. Managing a team of construction and commissioning technicians to install new cables, instrumentation and electrical equipment to comply with the NOV survey and client’s specification. Carrying out quality control measures and EX inspection throughout the installation prior to final commissioning activities and function tests with support from the NOV Vendor. Conducting loop checks and function tests of the newly installed instrument DAQ system in accordance with the commissioning procedure. Validating and generating all documentation and certification from GOC. Preparing all DAC & MC walkdown packs prior to system handover.

E&I QA/QC Lead

Travelling to various vendor locations throughout Europe, ensuring all project vendor packages were complying with the project specification. Specifying certification requirements for vendor packages ensuring the correct ITR’s are assigned for packaged equipment. Coordinating GOC and ATEX inspections on multiple packages. Using and interrogating the GO Completions database, generating ITRs, creating reports, adding and deleting of tags. Preparing inspection dossiers for third party inspection teams where applicable. Verifying ITR’s where applicable to the equipment and correcting/amending any alterations to the ITR requirements on visual inspection. Carrying out QA/QC audits of documentation and witnessing FAT tests.
