Initially engaging as lead engineer for the quality and completions team on the port Clarence biomass project. Verifying all electrical drawings prior to being issued to the contractor, systemization of the LOSH drawings, audits on contractor procedures, work packs and documentation. Reviewing contractor RAMS and working practices prior to being issued for acceptance. Overseeing the testing and inspection from the contractor. Reviewing all the ITR’s and red line/as-built drawings prior to tri-party walkdowns. This project was mothballed by the main EPC in May 2019, since then I have been located in the Billingham office overseeing all aspects of quality and project management from estimations/bidding, project close out, final accounts and business development with potential new clients. Preparing the company IMS system in alignment with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 and achieving accreditation from Lloyd’s register. Managing a suite of projects for the company, the main project to date is the Woodsmith mine project for Anglo American in Whitby. Taking this project from the bid stage through to final close out on each package and still have a team present assisting the client with commissioning. Using excellent communication skills, an effective listener, understanding other people’s points of view. Working flexibly to accommodate the changing needs of the business, working long hours and taking on additional responsibilities.
