I was a team lead under Paul on two different occasions (for two different teams). He always stayed in-tune with our customers which allowed us to anticipate their needs. Paul always clearly communicated his expectations for me and my team. Paul usually supported my requests to perform process improvement... even when the process change involved multiple work centers. At the same time, he had the wisdom to know how hard he could push each work center without causing too much operational risk. He once restructured a team to improve communication and department cohesion... something most supervisors (in my experience) would be too complacent, non-confrontational or fearful to do. Paul will cultivate innovation in his work centers while ensuring your customer's expectations are met 100% of the time.
