  Currently serving as the Trade Program Director in Brookshire, TX at the Hangar. The Hangar Unity Community Center offers a variety of services to the community including activities for teens, resources for families in need and a variety of local events throughout the year. The Hangar is part Eyes On Me Inc., a non-profit 501c3 that exists to mentor, disciple, and serve at-risk youth and their families. Our vision is to see communities and neighborhoods that are statistically low-income, high crime, over-looked, and under-served transformed and strengthened through reproducible discipleship and strategic mentoring. The Trade Program has been developed as a preemptive measure for at risk youth in response to growing drug use and criminal activity within the community. The program currently provides entry level instruction in the area of skilled trades such as construction, plumbing, electrical, and more to be offered as the program continues to grow. The program also focuses on developing soft skills that include critical thinking, problem solving, public speaking, teamwork, literacy, leadership, professional attitude, work ethic, and career management. Although this program is initially offered for youth, our vision for the future is to provide accredited training for those seeking professional careers within skilled trades. We are blessed to be collaborating with multiple partners that share the work of positive community transformation and the volunteers that sacrifice their time to help in this endeavor.
