With my team of drivers and fleet of vehicles, my duty was to move various items and materials of all sizes and shapes from A to B. Also worked in this position during the summer of 2013.   Working as a trainee in the Security Management team of one of the biggest festivals in the country the Ilosaarirock Music Festival. My main duty was human resource management of the security personnel, where with my group of voluntary workers I made sure that that everyone was working the right amount of hours, were staying in the right places and even fed the right amount of food. My other duties were recruiting voluntary workers, coordinating both my team and the security personnel, providing safety equipment for the festival, participating in management meetings and assisting the security manager in various duties. Being part of both planning and executing the festival gave me a great insight of how large-scale events are organised. My experience in this festival taught me how to adapt in the fairly busy and fast paced conditions of an event like this. Scheduling, patience and proactivity are the traits I found most vital as a learning event manager. Show less
