Bio
Simon Butcher
I have worked with Paul on a number of User Access Enterprise projects, which are most notable for their complex Business requirements, package integration challenges and tight deadlines. He performed the day to day Business project lead role, managing Business requirements, user acceptance and Business operating amendments. He also co-ordinated input into Project Control Committees (PCCs), supported implementation events and co-ordinated support for the projects by other Business and operational areas. He was also the Business lead during warranty, ensuring any fixes were applied with urgency During the course of the project's lifecycles Paul worked with and monitored the IT Project team, assisting in the resolution of any issues during the design, build, test and delivery stages. He was highly personalable and developed a strong atmosphere of openess and honesty, allowing the free flow of information, ideas and viewpoints between all stakeholder sets and recognising performance where appropiate. He was cool under pressure, especially during recovery scenarios where he was asked to make key decisions on whether to 'fix forward' or 'back out' I enjoyed working with Paul. He was supportive, displayed strong analytical and problem solving skills and was well versed in Business processes, structure and policy. He also possessed a great working knowledge of IT systems, their platforms and integration challenges I have alot of respect for Paul's abilities and management style, demonstrated via delivery of key User Access projects. He is now working on RBS Strategic initiatives which I'm certain he will deliver to the same high quality
