      My role is extremely diverse and broadly involves elements of project management, financial accountability and people management. Highlights to date so far include:- Management of the Aimhigher Programme at LJMU (2009-2011); responsible for £250K budget and line management of two full time members of staff. I worked closely with senior management in local schools as well as within the university to ensure that the strategic aims and outcomes of the programme were being met. I was also tasked with relationship building to encourage more schools to engage with the programme; which resulted in a 100% increase over two years. - Management of the LJMU Widening Participation Programme (2011 - 2013); responsible for the planning, delivery and budgeting of a new institutional programme of activities. Recruited, trained and managed a team of 75 Student Advocates who worked across the programme to support over 3000 young people and their influencers.- Management of LJMU's Summer University Programme (2011 - present) which enables hundreds of prospective students to experience university life, staying residentially at LJMU each year. I am responsible for the budgeting, staffing, delivery and health and safety of all participants during the event. - Account Manager for Year 12/13 recruitment activities (2013 - present); responsible for planning day-to-day recruitment activities and strategies to ensure that recruitment targets are met on an annual basis.- Working successfully with academic colleagues to write a bid and attend an interview for £150K of external funding from the Royal Society of Chemistry to enable LJMU to develop and deliver a five year programme of activity to promote the study of Chemistry at university level.
