I had the pleasure of working with Paul at AiRXOS where I experienced his ability to lead a cross-functional team supporting an important customer. The team didn't report to him directly nor was the statement of work always clear so he demonstrated his abilities to explain and influence others to meet the customers needs. On top of that, Paul was a major contributor to the development of the operational conops and FAA regulatory data packages for approval. Paul will make an excellent leader or contributor of any team.

I've worked with Paul at AiRXOS on both technical requirements for our Air Mobility Platform (AMP) and culture team efforts to strengthen trust throughout the company. On the technical side, Paul is always very knowledgeable when it comes to important details, like what our users would need for situational awareness or detect-and-avoid functionality. Paul's extensive industry knowledge allows him to accurately represent customer needs. In terms of team culture, Paul is an active member of the AiRXOS Culture Council, contributing valuable ideas to conversations we've had on trust, accountability, and other core AiRXOS values. I've learned a lot from him in these experiences, especially as someone who's new to the Aviation space, and I believe he would bring this same knowledge and passion to any team.

Business: Aerospace Engineering and Manufacturing Company specializing in the design and manufacturing of aircraft systems and onboard explosive mitigation devices. Provides customer engineering and certification support for major alterations and repairs. Duties: Coordinate customer structural and system STC projects, PMA projects, Major Alterations, and Major Repairs. Provide the customer with regulatory guidance, certification documents, structural substantiation reports, system substantiation reports, safety analysis reports, and design/drafting support. An example of customer lead Program Management, for National Aircraft Service, Inc., I lead the development, analysis, testing, and certification of several Bullet Proof Flight Deck Doors for the Airbus A300/A310, Boeing 727, and McDonnell Douglas DC-8 as a means of compliance with the FAA’s post 9/11 requirements. In addition, I’ve provided Project Management in support of NASI’s Lockheed C-130 Vapor Cycle System, and NASI’s Boeing 747 Flow Control System. Show less

Business: Gas Turbine Design and Manufacturer. Duties: Performed structural, rotordynamics, and dynamic simulation analysis of gas turbine engines. Projects included the EJ-22 gas turbine engine originally designed for the Eclipse 500 aircraft. Performed the rotordynamics analysis, gear analysis, and dynamic structural analysis of the gearbox. I also performed the structural analysis for the bearing housings, fuel system attachments, oil system attachments, and engine mount. Additionally, I developed a MatrixX thermal model of the aircraft’s motive fuel flow system to determine if vapor lock would occur in the system at various elevations. The data was also used to determine the heat load in the aircraft’s wing fuel tanks for structural considerations. Other projects included the structural and penetration analysis of the gears and gearbox for the supplemental power unit installed on the Comanche Helicopter. Press fits and thermal loads for various permanent magnet generator designs. Thermal analysis of several labrynth seal designs. Structural analysis support for the NASA/Williams airfoil bearing project for a reusable rocket engine design. And structural analysis support for various revisions and modifications to the Williams FJ-44 and FJ-33 turbine engines. Show less

Business: Aircraft System Design and Manufacturer. Duties: Designed and coordinated the development of STC’d aircraft modifications. Performed structural, system, and safety analysis on designs. Developed Maintenance Manuals, Installation Instructions, Flight Manual Supplements, Continued Airworthiness Documents, Structural Substantiation Reports, Safety Analysis Reports, Electrical Loads Reports and Certification Plans for the STCs. Projects have included fabrication and installation of a Mitsubishi MU-2 Cargo Door and Crew Entrance Doors. I also conducted all the systems and structural analysis of five aftermarket McDonnell Douglas DC-8 Cargo Door’s latching, locking, and warning systems for the FAA and Operator’s DC-8 Joint Task Force (JTF). The DC-8 JTF was formed due to the continued occurrences of the cargo doors opening in flight. My analyses lead to the issuance of Airworthiness Directives (AD) for these cargo doors. I developed a new locking system, vent door system, and warning system for the doors, which ended up being the only means of compliance for the AD. The analyses lead to the issuance of Airworthiness Directives (AD) for these cargo doors. I developed a new locking system, vent door system, and warning system for the doors, which was used as the only means of compliance for the AD. Show less
