After joining the company as an apprentice, and completing the NVQ level 2 qualification as well as F Gas regulations (Refrigeration Handling) I was promoted to an engineer and given responsibility of running and installing my own jobs. I was also awarded an apprentice to help aid their development with in the company. My role as an air conditioning engineer involved skilled work on many diverse building projects; installing, servicing and maintaining air conditioning units in schools, office buildings, apartment complexes, construction sites and much more. Some of the many refrigeration units i have worked on are Split AC systems twin split AC systems VRF/VRV multi systems AHU Airedale heat pump systems Heat recovery and heat pump systems chillers The ability to work closely with other people and communicate my ideas was also extremely important in this role, especially when my safety, and the safety of others, was concerned.
