Resident Engineer/Site Supervisor/Inspector tasked with acting as the managing agent on the "All Wales Maintenance Contract”, We are the managing agent for the WG. This includes consultancy, Design, procurement, H&S, fault analysis and trends. I have the ability to liaise with contractors on all contractual issues. I'm in also in direct contact with the Welsh Government, 3rd parties and Stakeholders on many issues and solutions. This is to ensure that the Traffic Wales operations are in use 24/7. This ITS area includes all major trunk roads/motorways throughout South Wales and Gwent. The equipment overseen is as follows:1. A vast fibre,copper network and infrastructure for power and ITS control.2. Communication, transmission and traffic Management buildings. 3. Traffic management and display systems. (Barco and Christie screens)4. Depot security. (CCTV)5. Auxiliary power, cooling/Air con systems,UPS, generators, entry and fire alarms6. Emergency Telephone systems. (Roadside)7. CCTV (Roadside and recording systems)8. VMS and MVMS systems. (Electronic road signs) 9. Matrix (Roadside signals)10. MIDAS. (Vehicle detection systems)11. MET Equipment. Over a 22+ year period working through a number of ranks, has allowed me to learn a wide range skills in many areas in the electrical/electronics industry and the Armed Forces skillset. The locations I have been based at have been worldwide and sometimes diverse. These include maintaining and rectification of: 1. Temporary power supplies/Installations including design. 2. Electrical power generation (50/400Hz, mains/aircraft voltages and frequencies.) 3. Aircraft and ground use batteries and charging systems, including alkaline and acid secondary battery maintenance. 4. Automotive electrical and electronic systems. (Light and HGV including dangerous goods vehicles, fire vehicles, cranes, forklifts, snow clearing equipment etc.) 5. Air conditioning systems 6. Hydraulic power systems/equipment. 7. Domestic electrical appliances.(Portable Appliance Testing) 8. Temporary fuel installations. (Including building & maintaining) 9. Airfield ground support equipment including electrical aspects of airfield arresting systems (RHAG's, barriers.) and temporary airfield lighting. 10. Dept GSE controller, overseeing the maintenance and rectification of a vast amount of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) on a frontline Harrier airfield/unit. 11. Static and rotary frequency converters. 12. Dehumidifying equipment. Also qualified in the following aspects: 1. Instructing many aspects of electrical engineering to NVQ/C&G standards. 2.
