The Project Officer reports to the deputy director of Ceremonies and Outreach Directorate (COD). COD reports directly to the Commanding General of the Military District of Washington and is the DoD Executive Agent for planning, coordinating and conducting ceremonies and special events for the Executive and Legislative Branches of the Federal Government, Department of State, Department of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff and Army Senior Leaders. Duties: + Work as a team member of COD in developing and executing live events. + Assist in the initial planning and development to assist staff officers on the overall production concept and schedule. + Coordinate with subordinate commands, interagency partners, and industry contractors to provide extraordinary live event experiences. + Conduct military staff work including drafting of operation orders, management of taskers, and preparation of informational papers and briefing documents for senior leaders. + Develop production timelines, scripts, and show cues for live theatrical events. + Prepare statements-of-work and solicit market research to provide accurate production requirements for events. + Direct and/or stage manage live special events
