  Experience:- Involved in on-site preparation for on-shore drilling activity including construction of lean-tos and securing water supply;- Over two months of in the field experience, marking up and geotechnical logging of soft rock core using the Australian CoalLog V2.0 standard;- Some lithological logging under the supervision of geologists as well as packaging up of geotechnical samples to be sent for testing; and- Experience of the coordination required between geologists, project managers, drillers and contractor, as well as land-owners.

  - Completion of a Nuffield Research Project creating a database and user-friendly interface to access information such as proton-proton interaction cross-sections to determine the safety of an experiment using a particle accelerator for which I achieved a Gold Crest Award.- The project required the use of LabVIEW using its visual programming language 'G', as well as understanding the background science. This required a significant amount of independent thought and creativity owing to the lack of information surrounding the use of LabVIEW for the purpose I required.- The culmination of the project was a 20 page technical report and 20 minute oral presentation given to researchers at the facility.
