It provides: • Secure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform • Seamless multi-theater support for organizations and applications and data • 24×7 follow-the-sun mission-critical support • Compliance with data center consolidation mandates • Ability to introduce self-service capabilities As a Network Administrator on the GEFS3 contract: • Install, Configure, and troubleshoot Cisco 5k and 9k switches to support a globally dispersed information system. • Maintain network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures. • Design, implement and troubleshoot Cisco NX-OS technologies such as Virtual Port Channel (vPC), Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LaCP), and Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) to increase redundancy and throughput throughout the GEF network. • Participates in and may lead aspects of central network installations and upgrades. • Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance. • Provides work leadership to less-experienced network personnel and may have supervisory responsibilities. • Coordinate with multiple Army Regional Cyber Centers (RCC) and Network Enterprise Centers (NEC) to maintain and build the layer two infrastructure of the GEF environment
