  Design, implementation, analysis and product support for Retail Directions’ Retail Management System (RMS). Worked in a team on a large software application used by about 40 different retail companies. The part of the product that I worked on was written in C#/WPF using the MVVM design pattern with a large MS SQL database (> 1TB). Developed custom WPF controls used by other team members.   Development of touch screen kiosk applications for NeoProducts’ kiosks. This included a number of software projects for large retail companies including: - RACQ - Just Group (Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Smiggle) - Officeworks For all software developed for the clients listed above I was responsible for total application development including interfacing with specialised kiosk hardware as well as designing the database and user interface. Give advice to industrial engineers so that they can design kiosks that comply with the applicable safety and EMC standards. Assess kiosks for regulatory compliance and provide training to industrial engineers and purchasing staff on the requirements. Research and testing of new products and technologies. Collaboration with product designers, project managers and sales staff. Troubleshooting electrical and software related technical issues. Responsible for deploying and managing various IT related hardware used by the organisation. Including file shares running on a Linux software RAID, ftp/web servers, subversion server, backup server, monitoring server and routers with VPN connections. Work with sales staff and clients to prepare quotes and documentation for software projects. This includes estimating the hours involved in a project and extracting requirements from the client.
