Started as a junior IT staff member and moved to systems administrator after 4 years Windows for Workgroups environment and Novell server environment Supported 50 developers across sites in Dublin and the UK. Responsibilities/projects included: o Windows desktop and server support. o Maintaining the ISDN Dialup Bridge between offices, travelling to the UK monthly o Migrating to Windows NT and TCPIP from Novell IPX environment o Installation of Checkpoint firewalls running on Solaris platform. Installed Cisco routers to provide internet access and site-to-site VPN via leased line technology o Email Sendmail environment, running on Red Hat servers. o Performed on-site installations which involved travelling with software developers to install SQL Server and Windows domains for Clients o Converted Dublin site Coax based Ethernet to Cat5 fully switched network
