Jointly responsible for proposing (co-PI) and obtaining $1m NSF/matching grant for complete rehousing of collection (2003-2008), $500K NSF grant for digital imaging of type specimens (2012) and $380K NSF grant for re-housing alcohol collections (2015). Collaborated in design of new storage and managed entire rehousing project. Designed equipment and software for first-ever electronic inventory of 450,000-lot mollusk collection, using voice recognition to create up to 500 records per hour. 260,000 lots inventoried in first year of operation. Co-designer and developer of automated 360/180 specimen mount for micro-photography, co-holder of US patent for same. Responsible for acquisition and transfer to the Academy of the Katori Collection, the largest mollusk collection ever to leave Japan (20,000 lots, 60,000 specimens), including negotiations, on-site packaging and inventory, design of electronic cataloging software, transcription of data and integration into Academy's database.
