      Whilst working at the college I was able to undertake a broad range of teaching and management experiences as part of my first teaching position. I initially started at the college working as a sports technician running the colleges sports teams, managing enrichment activities such as fitness sessions and supporting the teaching team with other duties. I then transitioned over to a full time teaching role delivering sports and travel units on a GNVQ in Leisure and Tourism level 2 and 3. I also was the course leader for the City and Guilds Sport and Leisure Progression Award Level 2. Again teaching on practical units and the more theory based classroom units. Whilst at the college I set up and ran the colleges football academy which consisted of 2 squads who trained 3 times per week. I was also a member of the colleges lesson observation team that worked as part of the internal inspection process for curriculum areas. This consisted of observing lessons and feeding back to teaching staff about the aspects of the lesson that went well and those that could be improved. Show less
