I developed the Cycle2Work scheme in the UK. This market is now worth around 100 000 bikes a year, most of which are sold at high average retail prices. The Halfords Cycle2Work scheme had the highest sales of the four units. The scheme has been adopted by other IBD’s in the market place, with varying degrees of success.
