As an Autism Practitioner, I am responsible as a key worker for an individual, based in ahousing support in Errol, with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition and Learning Disability. I amresponsible for ensuring that care plans and guidelines are followed, updated regularly andmaintained to the highest quality standard set by Scottish Autism and regulated by the SSSC..I am responsible in promoting and enabling the individual with Autism to lead as full a life as possible,by realising their full potential. Furthermore, it is also my aim to create opportunities for individualswith Autism, to present further opportunities.As a an Autism Practitioner it is also important that I attend and chair regular meetings with my staff team. I also have to liaise with parents, families and care officials to collaborate and support the individual with autism in the best possible way. This includes Multi disciplinary meetings and continual review and updating of his support plan and support packageFurther duties involve building his nutrition and meal planning. Activity and community outings. Ensuring the promotion of consistency for the welfare of the supported individual. Leadership skills and good teamwork, maintain good working relationships with all colleagues. This leads to a good work place environment that gives a constant approach to any trail. Show less
