Counselor
-
May 2011 - Aug 2011
As a counselor at ScienceQuest, I again learned a great deal about working with both children and my fellow counselors. Of course, this required a strong amount of communication and public speaking. It also gave me a chance to gain experience with program development, as I had to develop educational science projects and activities for the children. Being a counselor, I was also put in a leadership position, and I fulfilled this role well. As a counselor at a summer camp, I got the chance to work with children and fellow counselors, working on my inter-personal and leadership skills. It was also a largely French-speaking camp, which put my bilingualism to good use.
