I worked on a number of projects whilst at MDG Architects. The first major project was a £2.5 million new Audi dealership in Wakefield. I ran the project on site for approximately 12 months, until its completion in March 2012. I also assisted in the workings drawings for a new BMW / MINI Service Centre in Chester. Other projects included refurbishments to BMW Birmingham and High Wycombe. As well as preparing drawings for the various projects, I prepared specifications and Room Data sheets… I worked on a number of projects whilst at MDG Architects. I was employed mainly as Construction Supervisor and my duties were to liaise with the Trust and the main contractor on a £30million hospital extension. I prepared pro formas, as supervisor, under the NEC 2 Contract and also NHS Procurement 21. I was heavily involved with the enabling works around the section of the hospital, which was to be extended. I also prepared sketch schemes and working drawings for alterations to the main entrance, to provide a new Cafeteria, Discharge Lounge and Main… I was employed mainly as Construction Supervisor and my duties were to liaise with the Trust and the main contractor on a £30million hospital extension. I supervised the main entrance work on site, until it was completed 31.01.2011. The main extension will continue to be built, but my position has been terminated, due to cost cutting within the NHS. I was contracted to assist another Architectural Technologist preparing CAD drawings for a new £4.5 million Office / Industrial Unit at the Royal Oak Industrial Estate, Daventry. The unit was to be of a sustainable construction using Tarmac Termodeck planks. I was able to successfully convert to AutoCAD 2009 & 2010, in a relatively short space of time. Drawings were prepared for Planning & Building Regulation Applications. In addition, I assisted in preparing NBS Specifications, Design Risk… I was contracted to assist another Architectural Technologist preparing CAD drawings for a new £4.5 million Office / Industrial Unit at the Royal Oak Industrial Estate, Daventry. I was initially based on site in Malvern, preparing drawings and assisting the Contractor Henry Boot, on a new wave machine Leisure Pool (Malvern Splash). I then worked on the alteration of a retail unit in Liverpool, which was converted into an Abbey National Branch. Other projects included a Graduate Medical Centre at Burton on Trent and an extension to the Magistrates Court in Telford. Subsequently, I worked on a number of Hospital Projects, Offices, Hotels and Showcase Cinemas.

I also attended Shrewsbury Technical College studying for City and Guilds Constructions Technicians Certificate 1 & 2.
