I’ve known Paul since the early nineties when we both worked in Schlumberger’s Engineering department in Clamart, France. Paul already had a reputation at that time as a quick thinker with deep technical skills. In the past 14 years I’ve had the opportunity to interact with Paul as a stakeholder, as he managed the execution of a number of the largest projects falling under my portfolio. During this time Paul reliably delivered numerous large multi-disciplinary projects, effectively navigating the inevitable surprises that occur on such complex technical innovation efforts. Paul’s management style is calm and methodical. He is an excellent listener and particularly effective at defusing tensions and instilling a collaborative spirit within his teams. As a stakeholder I’ve found him to be a proactive and clear communicator, with a passion for delivery. Many of the projects which Paul has managed have been large multi-year efforts that involve significant technical uncertainty as well as complexities relating to supply chain, manufacturing, maintenance and deployment. Taking such projects to a successful conclusion requires knowledge as well as a rigorous approach and commitment to quality, and Paul demonstrated all of these qualities. Finally I’d like to emphasize the empathy Paul demonstrates in working with others. He builds strong relationships and truly cares for his employees, maximizing the opportunities for them to develop and shine. It's been a real pleasure for me to work with Paul and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to any organization as a great addition to their team.

I have known Paul since the mid 2000's, crossing paths under multiple circumstances involving product and technology development. Paul consistently used his inter-personal skills and technical depth to drive project advancement through positive team morale and high performance. When Paul reported to me starting in 2016, I was very impressed by how he had continued honing these qualities and enabled the engineering teams at the Houston Formation Evaluation Center to progress and deliver across multiple parallel projects while confronting an industry downturn. Although no choices were easy, Paul consistently demonstrated the right balance of stakeholder value with team dynamics and exhibited the empathy required to maintain the focus of a team of over 200 engineers and technical staff. Paul's years in Quality also allowed him to leverage the power of processes and has driven the right use of procedures without stifling innovation - a very fine line that many just cannot hold. Paul retained a friendly yet professional, serious yet positive attitude towards all challenges, and never missed an opportunity to recognize the teams and their successes. I would fully support Paul in any technical leadership role in product development, in quality assurance and in process development and roll-out.
