Following this, I was asked to produce the solutions design for an interim external client dashboard/reporting system and external remote client access, and to manage the technical team consisting of 4 data developers and 2 application developers. The design consisted of implementing Azure Active directory, which was synced against the corporate AD, to allow for authentication of external users. Microsoft SSRS was used as the delivery platform for the dashboards/reports, with access to internal SSRS servers managed with the Azure Application Proxy. Part of this solution was the design and management of the ETL processes responsible for populating the reporting data store Show less

My role was to spend time with the client and design a new system platform that encompassed their existing processes, with key design criteria to allow the new system to be easily extensible, low cost maintenance, and able to be managed by the company’s non-technical staff. Following the design process, I then developed the solution. Main design points were the use of a configurable workflow utilising RabbitMQ, Windows Services (C#), and SQL Server 2014 for the data stores. New UI’s were developed, for external and internal usage, with MVC 5.2 and Angular.js with Microsoft.Net WebAPI’s handling interactions between UI, Business Logic and Data Layers. Data migration processes were also designed and developed to manage the data transfer between the old and new systems. I was also engaged with another of SolutionsCtrl’s clients, who wanted a technical review of their existing systems, and a new technical architecture proposal. This was with a view to a complete re-architecture of their existing systems, and the development of a new software platform. Show less

The user base for this project was approximately 22000. Part of my responsibility was the design and implementation of the login script and data storage. The login script was developed using Vbscript, with activeX controls to link through to the Windows NT SAM database (ADSI), Microsoft Access database (MDAC) and various others for accessing of registry, text files etc. The script functionality included determination of user account information, IP configuration of the local workstation, determination of local resource servers, determination of appropriate SMS site and servers, provision of information and execution of PwC's software distribution package, and a Y2K check and lockout system. I was also required to develop ActiveX controls for the use within the login script using Visual Basic. Within the scope of my control was the implementation of a data migration program to the new directory structure defined by the Security model. I was responsible for the organisation of the implementation of the new script, which included the provision of design verification testing, user acceptance testing and a pilot scheme. I dealt with the business lines of service throughout the project to determine requirements and specifications, and managed a team of 6 people for the project. The data was migrated from existing NT directory structures and from Novell data servers. As part of this project I also developed various Web based Admin tools for use by the various Lines of Service, using ASP technologies and Visual Basic.

This was required for the merger between Cooper & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse. All the HR information from both companies had to be merged into a new system. This included the automated user account creation for NT, Lotus Notes, Remote Access, and the day-to-day changes to user information within the company. I was also required to develop ActiveX controls for the use within the login script using Visual Basic. I was responsible for the organisation of the implementation of the new script, which included the provision of design verification testing, user acceptance testing and a pilot scheme. I dealt with the business lines of service throughout the project to determine requirements and specifications, and managed a team of 6 people for the project. As part of this project I also developed various Web based Admin tools for use by the various Lines of Service, using ASP technologies and Visual Basic. Show less
