Proactively managing CDC's 64 state and territorial grantees and 100,000 providers through impending changes by providing knowledge, tools and open communication to decrease the level of resistance and anxiety. This high profile, multi-year, multi-million dollar SAP management system integrates the entire US publicly-funded vaccine supply chain which includes vaccine ordering, vaccine forecasting, budget management, and contract management for VTrckS end users and other stakeholders directly impacted by the new system. The result reduces 64 independent distribution systems, vaccine inventories, lines of credit and unique supply chains to 1 centralized electronically managed vaccine inventory, account and supply chain.2011 Recipient of two industry standard awards - the GCN ( Government Computer News) Award recognized in the best of breed for the top IT programs across the public sector; and recipient of the CLO (Chief Learning Officer) Award recognized as industry leader who has demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of development programs. Represented CDC in the field as resident expert directing health risk communications in New Jersey during the anthrax exposure of 2001. Designed and conducted environmental health communication/education outreach with New Jersey United States Postal Service employees that resulted in 98% vaccination coverage. Planned, directed, and evaluated health education/communication materials. Developed , conducted and presented in media releases and briefings to State, National and international media outlets , seminars, workshops and meetings related to exposure to anthrax spores and the government response . Continue to provide leadership in determining the scope and direction of the emergency response communications program for CDC and its constituent network. Developed a variety of public relations events and informational materials, including fact sheets, brochures, and other materials intended to convey significant information to those exposed to anthrax or feeling threatened. The result was to strengthen community resiliancy for communities to tap into during a time of national fear and panic. Continue to serve at call as an emergency first responder for the agency.
