Pau has been working in advocacy and social justice education for many years. I worked with Pau as a Project Director for Students ACT (Student Advocating for Civic Transformation) to plan and lead CSUF's Social Justice Summit from 2008-2010. Now, as professionals, Pau is a great presenter and has done multiple presentations in my classes at California State University, Fullerton, and at Cypress College. He has spoken both in my Women and Gender Studies courses and in my Ethnic Studies courses. I invite him to speak as part of a plática speaking series. Pau shares his personal identity as a Trans Latinx immigrant and his family's story and experiences. He also shares his work in the community with LGBTQ+ folks, HIV prevention, immigrant communities, people who are housing or food insecure, and his work in the Latinx community. He continues to advocate for these communities in so many ways. Pau's story is compelling, and I am very grateful to have him share his story and advocate for others like him. Students are always grateful to meet him, and his willingness to share his story is driven by his passion for helping others. I am honored to have worked with Pau, and I highly recommend him as a leader and an advocate for social justice.
