The work provided the opportunity to do media availability to speak to homicide cases or suspicious deaths. I transferred to the Domestic Conflict Unit (DCU) in June of 2009 as an Acting Staff Sergeant, I was confirmed in the rank of Staff Sergeant in 2010 and remained in DCU until Dec. 2011. I worked with many external partners doing my 2 1/2 yrs in DCU and four projects were initiated during that time.
