  Since joining the team at Goringe Accountants Ltd in April 2010, I worked and gained valuable experience in many areas of the practice such as HR, customer service, bookkeeping and administration. I have worked in finance for most of my working life so when I entered into payroll, the position seemed to fit like a glove. As Payroll Supervisor I am responsible for leading the payroll department and of the supervising and training of the payroll team. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to meet strict deadlines, attention to detail, creating payroll policies and procedures and of course confidentiality. I manage a large number of payroll clients from sole traders through to limited companies and partnerships. Duties include deducting tax and national insurance payments, processing holiday, sick, maternity pay and expenses, calculating overtime and pay increases, liaising with HMRC, managing CIS schemes, preparation of P11Ds and P45s, registration and closure of PAYE/CIS schemes and assisting clients with their auto enrolment duties.
