In my capacity as teacher, researcher and lecturer at the Department of Global Studies I have known Patrik Ingelström since 2010 when he participated in the Global Studies: Field Course, 15 higher education credits, Advanced Level at the University of Gothenburg. The course included an eight weeks field study in Viet Nam, which I was responsible for and during which I had the pleasure to get to know Patrik on both an academic and a personal level. Patrik participated with great enthusiasm in the field course. During the course, he showed skill and talent when doing field research under fairly difficult circumstances. His leadership capability appeared a valuable asset when the group ran into difficulties either practical or academic. His pilot research project was made in collaboration with a Vietnamese counterpart and Patrik handled all cultural communication issues to my greatest satisfaction. He also wrote an excellent research paper on aid coordination in one of Vietnam major poverty alleviation programs. It is with great pleasure and without reservation that I recommend Patrik for research as well as employment. I am convinced that his skills and talent will be of great value in any organisation as well as for academic research.
