  IIRR was contracted by the Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) to provide consultancy services to farmers in 15 Districts selected from the Central and Western regions, under the Agricultural Value Chain Development Programme (AVCP) Project 1. I handled the Subcounties of Nakisunga and Ntenjeru in Mukono District, Central Uganda. My responsibilities were running crop trial plots, crop scouting, reporting on crop health, supervision of casual labourers and machine operators, and field crop operations.
