I was a pivotal member of the Senior Management Team for Tusla Child & Family Agency, responsible for the development and implementation of Tusla Central Vetting Bureau; a new division of the Human Resources Function of Tusla. I oversaw its development from inception and successfully managed the division for almost three years, during which time we saw an enormous reduction in the duration of processing times for Garda Vetting applications compared to the previous service provider. I worked in conjunction with the Executive Clinical Director and Clinical Director for the group, and alongside the Consultant Psychiatrist Group to ensure the safe and effective processing of the legal involuntary admission process for acute psychiatric patients. During my time in this role, I successfully oversaw an increased compliance rate, ultimately leading to a 99% compliance rate overall.
