Jun 2003 - Present
This company provides timing and computerized results in an instant for road races, track & field meets and cross country races all over. With the rapid growth of technology we are able to get more accurate times now, than with a stopwatch. We use a FinishLynx slit line camera that allows us to take a still picture of a finish line at 2000 frames per second. This allows us to break down the tightest photo finishes and print results as soon as the race is over. We also use tiny transponders from ChronoTrack Systems. Through custom UHF RFID controllers and antennas we can retrieve data from the transponder as they finish a race and collect data like time, distance and pace. Collaborated with CEO and implemented strong work relationships that played a key role in the company’s growth from 21events in 2001 to about 400 events in 2016. The biggest race we time is the Utica Boilermaker where they're over 13,000 runners! •Hytek database operation/ Quick Time graphics operator •Event planning and maintaining excellent customer relations •In field production and scoreboard operations •Supervisor for several part time employees Special Recognition: • Co-Race Director of the Syracuse Half Marathon (roughly 7,000 runners) • Lead Timer for the NCAA Divison II, Indoor, Outdoor and XC meets. • Split Timer for the NYC Full and Half Marathon (roughly 50,000 runners) Show less

In a fast paced environment where deadlines are important, creativity is used to provide the general public with useful, need to know now information. Successfully created presentations and written stories based on important community issues and events. As a Photo-Journalist most of my time was spent behind a video camera using a series of creative practices to inspire, entertain and educate the public. Reporting is critical and thorough interviews must be conducted to fully understand the topic. Through creative writing techniques that topic becomes interesting and easy to comprehend. Keeping the content interesting to the viewer is challenging and can also be reflected through creative editing and shooting as well. Everyday is different and you have to be on your toes when news breaks. Started as an intern while still in school and have grown with the company straight through this past February of 2011 when I helped create and launch the first HD news broadcast in Syracuse. Hand selected to cover and follow the Syracuse Orange basketball team across the country as they competed in the Big East and NCAA tournament. •Captured video and audio for news stories •Linear & Non-Linear Editing •Producing/Writing/Up-load video to Web •Production/Reporting/Interviewing •Live Microwave Truck Operation Show less
