I worked with Patrick for a global healthcare company on a large ethnographic research discovery project across America. Patrick and his team in collaboration with Ten, the discovery channel forensically interviewed a wide cross-section of patients and healthcare professionals, including nurse, surgeons, procurement teams etc. Patrick has that rare skill of asking the right questions with warmth and wit to extract the most pertinent information. Always putting the interviews at ease. Giving the client extraordinary insights into their product and services and helping them to improve the next generation designs of these products. I strongly recommend, having seen Patrick at work, that brands and organisations who collaborate with Outrageous Impact will see genuine benefits to both their future planning and their bottom line.

We worked with Patrick and the team at Outrageous Impact around our ambition to explore how we could build campaigns to improve the lives of people experiencing homelessness. They did a range of research for us with a wider number of stakeholders, including interviews and on the ground research. This is research we still refer to today and has been invaluable for us in understanding the experience of our diverse audiences. I’d recommend that anyone in need of market research who leads a fundraising or marketing function should speak to Patrick. He’s full of energy and creativity, experienced, empathetic, strategic, dedicated and bags of fun!

Patrick is a joy to work with, he helps you to focus on what really matters and create a plan to make it happen. Highly recommended!

I set up this pro-bono initiative to connect global research and comms professionals to not-for-profits needing support. 90 volunteers came on board. We provided support to 40 global organisations and got fantastic feedback. I led the team that launched the 'Life After Stroke Campaign' to support all stroke survivors to make their best recovery. Through this my team secured funding and kicked off the development of new clinical guidelines for childhood stroke. We changed the law on the rights of carers to state support. We secured over £3m in donations. We moved the charity into the top 50 Charity Brand Index for the first time ever. Research was right at the heart of this effort. Led a campaign on the need for more research into the causes of premature birth. I loved my time at this regional charity and learned a lot about the intersection of campaigns work, research and media work. This was my first startup; doing photography and filmmaking for clients. I got to travel around the world. I put on an exhibition of my photographs, at the OXO Tower Gallery on London's Southbank. One of my my most important projects was making a film about one of the UK's only psychiatric inpatient units for children and young people. Having experienced mental ill health myself this was particularly poignant. It also taught me the value of patience, as I spent 12 months negotiating… Show more This was my first startup; doing photography and filmmaking for clients. I got to travel around the world. In this role, I met celebrities and visiting healthcare delegations and got to introduce them to the incredible Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. I also organised the 150th-anniversary party for 700 patients, managing a team of 10. The theme was ‘Witches and Wizards’. Latterly, I was involved in supporting the press team, including with crisis response during major incidents. My first sales job and an incredible journey. Started working in my neighbour's garage. He built the business into a rip-snorting, fire breathing machine. I learned so much working there. Ended up getting fired for not making sales target, but a lot of love for Chartland. My first sales job and an incredible journey. Started working in my neighbour's garage.
