Patrick primarily specializes in Jazz and Classical music but has extensive knowledge in other styles. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Humber College with a major in Bass Performance and has been playing music in one form or another for the past 13 years. At Humber, Patrick was the recipient of the Academic Award of Achievement for having the highest aggregate mark in his graduating class. He was also the 2015 recipient of the Musicounts Scholarship for exceptional musicianship and the 2014 recipient of the Dave Stillwell award for excellence in instrumental arranging. Born and raised on Prince Edward Island, Patrick began his musical career in 2002 on the violin, moving on to the electric bass in 2007, as well as upright bass shortly after. He quickly became established in various musical circles on the East Coast and currently works regularly both on the East Coast and in Toronto. He has performed with many of Canada’s finest musicians as well as several internationally renowned and award-winning artists. Patrick specializes primarily in Jazz and Classical music and has extensive knowledge in other styles as well, including Rock, Blues, R&B, Folk, and Pop. Patrick focuses on creating a relaxed teaching environment for his students and tailors his lessons to each student’s individual goals and musical interests. He aims to give his students the tools to further explore the music they love. Patrick strives to pass on to his students his own passion and enthusiasm for everything to do with music.
