I am working on turning my hobby into a business. My partner and I participate in a variety of crafts. I take deadfall sticks and craft them into staves with symbolic and spiritual significance. We paint abstract and modern pieces on canvas and wood. The idea hasn't gotten far off the ground, but this is mostly for fun, still, anyway. I am working on turning my hobby into a business. My partner and I participate in a variety of crafts. At McDonald's, I worked as a crew member, usually on the grill. Here, I worked as part of a team, ensuring that customers received the right food as quickly as possible without sacrificing food quality or safety. This was a fun, fast paced work environment with a group of hard working, down to earth people that I quickly came to enjoy. In October of 2017, I resigned from McDonald's as I was relocating to Omaha, NE. At McDonald's, I worked as a crew member, usually on the grill. At Casey's I was able to dive back into my passion for well made pizza. I was responsible for taking and preparing customer orders, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and keeping our food warmer stocked and rotated with fresh food according to business demands. In addition, I occasionally helped with closing, stocking, and receiving duties. After two months at Casey's, the management and I were unable to work out a steady schedule that fit around my fiancee's schedule. As a result, I left to become the primary caretaker of my two children. Show less

      • Dec 2016 - Mar 2017

As a Shelf Integrity Specialist, I monitored and updated signage and tags to ensure correct pricing on over 10,000 items across the entire store. I was responsible for changing tags to reflect new sales, checking to ensure that all signs met company standards, and communicating any discrepancies I could not fix on site to the corporate office. My time at Family Fare taught me to be more self driven and helped me to gain greater focus when dealing with sprawling tasks. In March of 2017, I left Family Fare due to repeated professional disputes with my immediate supervisor. I wanted to do the job in accordance with the company handbook. She wanted me to follow orders verbatim, even when they went against the handbook. This resulted in a hostile work environment. Show less
