Jan 2017 - May 2017
I worked as a student teacher, educating three classes in Biology. Two of these classes were honors level, and the other was a CP (college prep) class. I was responsible for 125 students total, between the three classes. I was in total control of all aspects, including lesson planning, lesson execution, assessment design and grading. This also completed my requirements of my teaching certification process. I worked as a student teacher, educating three classes in Biology. I worked as part of an ongoing study taking place in Prince William Sound and the Chugach National Forest looking at the effect of air pollution in the area, using lichen as air quality indicators. I completed training to properly collect and handle lichen samples then spent five days in the field, collecting lichen samples and GPS locations of yellow cedars, along with cedar samples. Finally, I spent three days of lab work cleaning and packaging the lichen samples, along with data basing all of the various samples. Show less
