• Part of GITES (GI, Trauma, and Endocrine Surgery) in the Cohen Lab, that focuses on Trauma and the Blood Brain Barrier (BBB) through a tri-culture cell model of the BBB• Used Python to analyze and model data generated from cell model on a Trans-Endothelial Electrical Resistance (TEER) system• Performed immunohistochemistry on model, along with microscopy for whole lab• Use and maintenance of a Stago machine, which determines blood coagulation factors through measurement, for the Systems Project, a larger DoD project• Maintained cell lines for use in TEER system, to determine the strength of barriers of cells through measuring resistance• Helped to develop new application of system to measure the calcium channel activation of endothelial cells• Maintained stock and supplies • Worked on multiple publications that are currently being submitted around this research
